    This role will report to our General Manager.

  • About the role:

    We are looking for an admirable chef de cuisine to lead and inspire our kitchen staff in the creation of a fun, creative menu. The chef de cuisine will be responsible for designing the menu in collaboration with the Executive Chef, hiring and training kitchen staff, collaborating with restaurant management, optimizing staff productivity, and stepping in to help wherever needed.

    To ensure success, you should have excellent leadership skills with experience managing a team of kitchen staff in a high-pressure environment. Top candidates are creative individuals with a passion for great food and excellent service.

    This role reports to the Executive Chef.

    Responsibilities include:

    Ensuring that all food meets the highest quality standards and is served on time.

    Working with the Executive Chef in planning the menu and designing the plating presentation for each dish.

    Coordinating kitchen staff, and assisting them as required.

    Hiring and training staff to prepare and cook all the menu items.

    Stocktaking ingredients and equipment, and placing orders as needed.

    Enforcing best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen.

    Creating new recipes to regularly update the menu.

    Keeping track of new trends in the industry.

    Incorporating feedback from restaurant staff and patrons to make improvements or resolve issues.

    5+ years of experience in a similar position.

    In-depth knowledge of food principles and best practices.

    You will be working with our kitchen team to prepare and execute a creative menu for Lunch and Dinner.

    Responsibilities include:

    Ensuring all mise en place is ready for daily service.

    Ensuring all food is prepared fresh and is of the highest quality

    Keeping all mise en place pars up to date

    Keeping inventory, ordering, and daily prep sheets up to date

    Upholding cleanliness and sanitary standards

    This role reports to the Chef de Cuisine.

    About you:

    You are comfortable working long hours, nights, and weekends. You work well as part of a team and have impeccable organization and communication skills. You are proficient in basic knife skills and hold yourself accountable.

    You have:

    At least 1 year of kitchen BOH experience

    A basic knowledge of knife work, plating, and cleaning

    Some butchering experience is a plus, but will train the right person

    Knowledge of basic menu and food terminology

    Familiarity with tropical cocktails and food a plus

    At least 1-2 years of front-of-house experience
